Ekki með neitt

á þjóðvegi eitt (2016)
(With nothing in nIceland)

SHORT SYNOPSIS

In the summer of 2015, Bjarki Sigurjónsson embarked on an unusual journey around Iceland. Bjarki made his way along the Ring Road without food, money or other necessities to help him along the way. Instead he relied completely on other people's acts of kindness for food, shelter and rides. With the help of Icelanders and foreigners alike, Bjarki made it around Iceland in six days, stopping in various locations around the country. Cinematographer Halldór Óli Gunnarsson came along for the ride, but unlike Bjarki, he was allowed to bring with him everything his heart desired. This creates an interesting friction between the two and raises questions about the relationship between documentary makers and those who film them.
